It was said in the beginning of the biggest sporting event on earth that it would be a challenging event for South Africa. South Africa is the first African nation to host the FIFA World Cup 2010. People were concerned about the security measures that really proved up to the mark and on the other side financial analysts were worried about the money invested and money generation before the start of the event that how South African economy will handle this event. Anyhow, the event has progressed till the final smoothly and efficiently.

There are few issues for the teams which were discussed and still under discussions. 2010 FIFA World Cup has proved to be the tournament of upsets right from the beginning, defending Champion Italy and former World Champion France failed to get a place in the second round and went back home in the first round.

Referees weren’t that efficient at the highest level which really damaged the World Cup journey of several teams and favored teams like Netherlands that is playing the Final today.

The other major issue which rose after every game and FIFA was highly criticized for that issue of football. The football which is used in the 2010 FIFA World Cup was made up of the new technology which really troubled the players, especially goal keepers throughout the tournament.

However, Sepp Blotter is not ready to accept any criticism on football. He said, every FIFA World Cup has new history and this time World Cup is played in the new continent with new culture so everyone should take it positively.

So, Sepp is right, history is going to be made today. Be ready for the biggest match of the biggest sporting event in the world and don’t miss it. Netherlands will be facing Spain, so what do you think, who would be the Champion this time………….
