Lahore, Pakistan — The AG Punjab “Accountant General” recently introduced E-payroll System on their website and people who know their way around the web were very excited, but unfortunately the excitement didn’t last too long and the system failed just hours after its launch.
The AG Punjab ‘Accountant General’ website introduced its new E-Payroll system earlier last month in July 2011, so government employees could view their payrolls online but the e-payroll system, which is designed to provide a secure login system to its users was unable to secure itself and failed just hours after its launch.
It has been over half a month that the AG Punjab IT team is unable to revive the newly introduced system, which shows the incompetency of the IT team.
A huge number out of 12 million Punjab Government employees, who has the knowledge of online e-payroll system are agitated by yet another failure of the Punjab Government and wants the AG Punjab IT team to revive the system as soon as possible so they could view and print their Revised Pay Scale pay-slips.
While the e-payroll section of the AG Office Punjab’s website suggests the system is designed for the maximum Public Convenience, all the visitors of the website could only see this statement and the login page for the e-payroll system is still unavailable.
