Beach to Beacon race registration goes off for the public as world is going to witness world’s top athletes running across Maine’s craggy coastline. TD Bank Beach to Beacon 10 K Road Race has become a shining star on the United Sates road race horizon
Beach to Beacon race gets the attention of not only the athletes from the region but whole world as it draws the world to the small coastal community of Cape Elizabeth. Hundreds of thousands spectators also join the picturesque route and a huge crowed gathers at the finishing line which is none other than the most photographed lighthouse in the world, the stunning Portland Head Light.
Olympic Champion Joan Benoit laid the foundation of the race. Joan was a Maine native and 1998 Olympic champion who was considered a running icon not only in the area but also the world.
Beach to Beacon race that has attained the status of a world event was created Joan and principal sponsor TD Bank as she wanted to support the children in the region through this race. Different Children Charities in Maine get the donation from TD Bank through its TD Charitable Foundation.
Dave Mc Gillivray, the president of DMSE, Inc is the director of the race.
The rundown of the online registration goes as;
Step 1: From 12 March, beginning at 8 a.m. the Cape Elizabeth residents were asked to fill in the first 600 slots. A confirmation of the addresses will be carried out for this step.
Step 2: Online registration for general public is open for all starting today from 8 a.m till the time 4000 runners register themselves for the race.
Step 3: In this step as soon as the registration touches the number 4600, the visitors for the registration will be directed to a lottery registration process that will continue for one week. The results of the lottery will be announced on March 21. Have hurry if you want to enjoy the event.
