The search for Brittney Kustes, a 19-year-old girl from Bullitt County who went missing two weeks ago, reportedly came to end on Friday 30th July, 2010 when she was found at the Lebanon Junction exit off I-65. Brittney is, now, back home after being released from a local hospital in Bullitt County over the weekend.
Britney was reported missing on 17th July, 2010 and since then the police officials had been trying to locate her, but, unfortunately, for the entire first week they didn’t get any success and so the search got more dismal.
After a week and a half filled with lots of search operations and investigation, when police was still unable to find the Bullitt teenage girl, the Bullitt County authorities started to believe that she is murdered or she had committed suicide, as speculations were also there.
However, after the whole two weeks of her disappearance when Brittney was found alive on last Friday, the news of her being alive proved to be a wave of unexplainable joy and relief for the friends and family of Brittney Kustes as well as for the locals and authorities of Bullitt County, but the person, who is believed to be responsible for the abduction and sex offence is still at large and Bullitt authorities are still investigating in to this matter.
The police official at Bullitt County said “the investigations on this very case started and search operations went on with full force right after the teenage girl was reported missing two weeks ago and since then, till this weekend, we had been searching for the young woman in all parts of Bullitt County as well as some of the close by counties”. It is also briefed that Roy Vernon Elwell is the person who is being chased by the Bullitt authorities for sex offense, but they are still unable to find any clues.
