The California Medical Board claimed, Nadya Suleman’s doctor, Dr. Michael Kamrava committed ‘gross negligence’ with ‘repeated negligent acts’, when he implanted her with excessive number of embryos back in 2008.

Nadya Suleman A.K.A ‘Octomom’ was 33-years-old at the time she gave birth to eight children in January 2009. Nadya was a single parent, who already had six young kids also conceived through in-vitro fertilization, which was also administered by Dr. Michael Kamrava.

Dr. Michael, who commenced treating Nadya Suleman ‘Octomom’ in 1997, said she demanded all twelve embryos that were available for the procedure.

“The decision released yesterday on Wednesday by the medical board states, The doctor didi not think he could refuse Nadya to transfer less embryos than those to which N.S. would agree because he believed at the time that the ultimate decision should be largely driven by the patient’s wishes.”

The board stated,“While the evidence did not establish (Kamrava) as a maverick or deviant physician, oblivious to standards of care in IVF practices, it certainly demonstrated that he did not exercise sound judgment in the transfer of 12 embryos to patient N.S. (Suleman).”

The Medical Board also found Dr. Michael Kamrava guilty of gross negligence in two other cases, including his case of a woman in her late 40’s who became pregnant with quadruplets after Dr. Michael implanted seven embryos.

The Medical Board said, “the pregnancy of the woman was full of complications.”

The 35-year-old bodybuilder reportedly approached doctor Shashank Shah, a laparoscopic surgeon, almost eight weeks ago.
