Claire Danes has been given this year’s Emmy for her character as Temple Grandin in HBO’s finest production ever that took 5 Emmy Awards home!
Claire Danes, who was the role model for every teenager in America in the mid 90s era with her role in ‘My So Called Life’, was awarded with this year’s Emmy award in the category for ‘Best Actress in a Mini Series or a Movie’ for her appearance in HBO’s highly inclined biopic called ‘Temple Grandin’.
During the spectacular Emmy night that was full of ever shinning television stars, when Claire Danes’ name was announced as the Emmy winner for the year 2010, at first Claire Danes spontaneously planted a vigorous kiss on the lips of her husband, Hugh Dancy, with whom she married approximately a year ago.
Afterwards Claire Danes walked up the stage at Nokia Theater, Los Angeles to grace the night with her thanks giving speech, which she opened humbly by saying “well thank you, HBO, for like, existing. And thank you for helping make television so very important and electric”.
Being best recognized for her roles as Juliet in ‘Romeo + Juliet’ and as Yvaine in ‘Stardust’, Claire Danes kicked off her acting career with a guest appearance on Law and Order’s episode called ‘Skin Deep’.
However, along with her appearance in several TV series, being a veteran theatre actor, Claire Danes has also acted on Broadway in Pygmalion and in the list of her additional stage credits, there are ‘Edith and Jenny’ and ‘The Vagina Monologues’.
