The young student of University of Connecticut is doing his double majors and he also wrote articles regarding animal research and he has been known as the expert of turtle behavior.
Now what made Colin Carlson disturbed when University stopped him to visit abroad for study program because he was too young to be on the field work, Colin Carlson filed a complaint regarding age discrimination about the university.
Colin Carlson stated in his complaint that not considering a 13 year old student on field work is just like not considering a woman or black student and its purely discrimination and nothing else.
Even Colin Carlson parents offered the university that they will bear the travel and residential expanses by their own and University will be free from any liability.
Colin Carlson admitted the fact that there are chances of danger and trip is really risky but it should be same for every student, there must not be any kind of discrimination. He said I know that I could become the food of lion but the danger remain the same for every student.
The authorities of University of Connecticut has refused to comment on the issue that Colin Carlson raised but the decision is still standing of eliminating Colin Carlson from the study tour.
