DJ AM the owner of the Los Angeles Club and a prestigious disc jockey was found dead in his apartment in Manhattan, New York, Friday afternoon. He was found face-down on his bed wearing only sweatpants, with some unspecified prescription drugs and a crack pipe.
According to police his friends and fans were looking for him from several days and police broke down the door of his apartment at the call of one of his friend who knocked for many times and got no answer A law enforcement official told that though the drug paraphernalia was found at the apartment, but there was no sign of wrong doing or foul play.
Adam Goldstein 36 years old, known as DJ AM , was famous as a jet-set DJ who twirled at the world’s most exclusive parties, including Leonardo DiCaprios, private events and parties of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Stiller, among many others, he was , formerly ,a member of the rock band Crazy Town, Goldstein had signed a deal with MTV to host an intervention-style reality show ,Gone Too Far, the only show of its kind in which young people with drug addictions would get the chance to change their lives. Last month he had begun to promote the series. Goldstein has had relations with a number of celebrities including actress Mandy Moore Nicole Richie and model Jessica Stam.
He struggled with drugs, depression and his weight throughout his early 20s and he said in interviews that he was so much addicted by drugs that he came close to killing himself at the age of 24 in 1997, however, he gave up drugs and alcohol and at 30 he underwent gastric bypass surgery and consequently, reduced his weight from 324 pounds to 160 pounds.
God knows the reality but Goldstein’s death comes almost a year after as he survived on the runway of a South Carolina airport. In this accident he had been survived uncertainly with his partner, Travis Barker, in the hip-hop-rock duo TRV$DJAM. He said There’s no reason why I should have lived or why I lived and other didn’t. He said that he got another chance in life so he wants to do something better in his life this time.” After this accident he completely changes his life beome more humble and always tried to help others.
