Google is no more just a search engine, new Google styles are there to greet you every now and then, a social network is there to make you social, free mailing site to communicate and doodle 4 Google to compete.
Doodle 4 Google competition takes place every year and it’s all about presenting new and unique Doodles 4 Google. This year in 2010, more than 33,000 students participated and submitted their Doodles for Google.
The student range that participated in Doodle 4 Google competition was from kindergarten to twelfth grade. The theme of the Doodle 4 Google given to the students to inspire them was “If I could do anything I Would”
The winner of the Doodle 4 Google is a nine year old third grader student from E1 Dorado Springs. Makenzie Melton presented a rainforest habitat. The judges of the contests were experts of their fields like animation, cartoons, and illustrations, some of the judges even worked for Walt Disney.
The criteria of choosing winner of Doodle 4 Google is not only based on the beatification and presentation of the doodle, it also includes usage of technology, message in the doodle and many other aspects as well.
Makenzie Melton won the title of Doodle 4 Google 2010 and also won a notebook, $25,000 grant for her school computer lab and $15,000 college scholarship. She was also told by the jury that she defeated more than 33,000 other talented and intelligent students to win the Doodle 4 Google 2010.
