Dr. Evan Zeiger is believed to be killed in Plane Crash. The famous neurosurgeon was flying his plane off the Florida Panhandle in the Gulf of Mexico when his plane crashed killing the neurosurgeon and his passenger according to reports.
According to different available reports Dr. Evan Zeiger was flying the plane in a formation with other many other aircrafts when the fatal crash occurred. His plane was of World War II era. He came from Birmingham, Alabama to participate in the formation flying.
The coast guards have rescued Dr. Evan Zeiger’s and his passenger’s body from the wreckage about 50 feet deep in the water. The identity of the passenger is not disclosed by the authorities.
Stephen Lehmann, the Coast Guard Petty Officer said that Walton County Sheriff Office reported the crash near Miramar Beach on Saturday at about 12:45 p.m. The plane is reported to be a T-6 Texan trainer aircraft.
The eye witnesses have claimed that they saw the plane nose diving into the Gulf of Mexico. Several other pilots in the formation have had reported the same about the crash.
Dr. Evan Zeiger and Dr. Robert Craddock moved their practice from Caraway Hospital to Brook wood in 2008. Both doctors are said to be quite active surgeons.
The loss of a neurosurgeon is believed to be a huge loss as it takes many years to become a neurosurgeon but I am surprised at the news that identity of other passenger in the plane is kept behind. Even gender of the other passenger is not disclosed, so am I right in thinking that his companion was such a passenger with whom even a neurosurgeon can loose his nerve. What do you think?
