NY City, New York – Taking their love affair to the next level, Eddie Cibrian and his girlfriend Leann Rimes are engaged to be married soon.
The 28-year-old American actress, country singer/songwriter and author Leann Rimes announced last night on Monday 27th December, 2010 that Eddie Cibrian had popped the magical question over the Christmas holidays.
Together Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes make the latest celebrity couple to take on the relationship landmark in this week. “Yes, they were engaged over the Christmas holidays and are very happy,” a representative for Rimes said in a statement.
While confirming the news through her Twitter account, LeAnn Rimes tweeted, “We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love. We are looking forward to a beautiful future.”
According to a source close to the star couple, the engagement ring is platinum with a five-carat oval diamond, designed by the couple with Eddie’s childhood friend Brent Polacheck.
Although together they make a good and attractive couple and, in fact, are very happy after being engaged. However, they are not exactly America’s sweetheart couple since a harsh spotlight has been put on LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian’s relationship, considering that both the stars were still married to their then spouses, when they started dating.
The 37-year-old American actor Eddie Cibrian was previously married to Brandi Glanville, a make-up artist with home he has two sons, Mason and Jake, while Rimes left her dancer hubby Dean Sheremet in July, 2009.
