Maria Jose Cristerna of Mexico has certainly done her part to battle that stereotype, subjecting herself to a full body vampire make over.
Her new look comes complete with fangs, horns, a bevy of piercings, and tattoos that cover her entirely. She has donned this so amazing and unique look with such excellence that she will now be immortalized in wax by museum Ripley’s Believe It or Not.
But the question is what inspired her to bring the drastic change in herself?
According to the 35 year old mother of four, she decided to turn over a new leaf after suffering domestic violence at the hands of her ex-husband, and it’s unlikely the perpetrator poses much of a threat after seeing Maria’s overhaul!
“The new get up provides a sense of strength and has helped me start a new life,” believes Maria.
“I had the fangs done because I loved vampires as a little girl and I changed the color of my eyes so they were how I really wanted them to be,” she explained.
