Every season a dozen designers come with the dream to be the HGTV Design Star, but only one, as per the rules, finds his way to success and in this season it’s Emily Henderson, who took home the title on the ‘Design Star’ finale last night.
On the eve of Sunday 22nd August, 2010 the final showdown on HGTV’s Design Star took place between Michael Moeller and Emily Henderson. Both the opponents went on head to head with their best designs of the season which would make one of them win.
The designs by both finalists were really so very breathtaking that it got a little bit harder for the jury to decide that who will be the next ‘HGTV Design Star’. However, as the climax got nearer, the winning name got more obvious!
Emily and Michael both selected their teammates from former contestants in order to get a helping hand for the final battle and the best thing about this whole teammate mania was that both finalists could select one of their teammates to be their client. So, Stacey, Casey, Stan, Tom and Alex were chosen by Emily whilst Michael chose Trent, Nina, Courtland and Tera.
Nina was Michael’s client because according to him, she was the lioness who had eaten her own cubs. And well, that proved true in the final project because Nina were actually seen trying to impose her own ideas on Michael.
In the end, being pretty obvious, Emily was selected as the HGTV Design Star of the season.
