The case of missing French chef Jean Francois Poinard took a sad turn last week after his body was found in a freezer at his apartment in Lyon. Police found the body after his girlfriend, who was under the influence of alcohol, said “something unfortunate happened to him”.
The renowned French chef, Jean Francois Poinard, has been missing since 2008 and until last week, when his girlfriend got drunk and cited that something unfortunate might have happened to her boyfriend, no one suspected anything.
The police took the hint from the comments of drunken lady, searched the apartment where Jean Francois Poinard was living with the girlfriend before disappearing and they found the corps of chef frozen solid in the freezer!
According to numerous French newspapers, the autopsy of Jean Francois Poinard’s body to find out the root cause of his death can’t be performed for next 48 hours or until the dead body defrosts. However, the police officials have arrested the girlfriend.
According to the comments distributed by the neighbors, the relationship between Jean Francois Poinard and his girlfriend was a bit turbulent for all of them, so when the chef vanished, they simply thanked God for the peace and thought the couple had separated.
As per his bio-record, Jean Francois Poinard was 71-years-old at the time of his disappearance, but it’s not clear how old his girlfriend is, as her identity hasn’t been disclosed so far by the police officials.
However, the initial investigation reports point out that, Jean Francois Poinard’s credit lines and bank accounts haven’t been touched in two years, so apparently, money wasn’t the root cause for his death.
