Jim Parsons of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ won the Emmy award last night on Sunday 29th August, 2010 after USA Today’s Bill Keveney spotted him as the Emmy winner for lead actor in a comedy series and Jim Parsons walked into the hotel on the red carpet, happily announcing “Oh my God, what do I do? I feel so uninformed about this!”
After getting his hands firmly on the Emmy, Jim Parsons excitedly revealed “I am shocked. It was one of those moments right before they announced the winner that my brain went ‘You are not getting this right now’ and then I was stunned. I am still stunned”.
While enjoying his ‘Big Bang’ win last night when asked about why his character ‘Sheldon’ stimulates so much to viewers, Jim Parsons replied saying “I guess it is because ‘Sheldon’ is a very different kind of guy.
He is in the marginal of intelligence and behavior. He comes from such a straightforward and good place that he always gets away with saying such eccentric things”.
During the Emmy ceremony when Jim Parsons, an outstanding comedian who likes to read almanacs as well, was asked that what kind of television nerds influenced him, Jim Parsons said “There’s a slight nerd in a lot of classic sitcom characters. It is not Ted Baxter and Alex P Keaton. It’s that, the spirit of that is what I feel like I try to shoot for”.
About his early career, Jim Parsons noted that in 1st grade he had been the part of the Kola Kola bird in Rudyard Kipling’s and sang a song as well. Further, Jim Parsons humbly added “I don’t know that I was good, but I obviously caught a bug”.
