Michael Kay proposed Jodi Applegate with a four-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring on a Montauk beach on the evening of 7th July. According to a source close to the lady, although the news of their engagement is now unveiled, however, initially it was decided that the sparkler of the engagement would be kept on the down-low until Kay could tell his elder sister, Debbie, about the news and Jodi Applegate agreed.

Through the same source it has also been confirmed that, Jodi Applegate and fiancé have not laid down a wedding date so far, but as we all know that apart from their personal lives both the TV personalities the ESPN host and News 12 anchor have to meet the requirements of their high demanding jobs, so the wedding probably will take place after this baseball season.

Raised in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, Jodi Applegate graduated from Moon Area High School and then went on to attend New York University from where she received a degree in television and film. While her fiancé Michael Kay is an ESPN radio host and NY Yankees announcer as well.
