Lake Anna plane Crash claimed the life of small planes pilot, where as a 17-year-old girl identified as the daughter of the pilot was injured; an ultra light hydroplane crashed near the nuclear power plant at Lake Anna, plane went down at around 12:30 Sunday afternoon, the plane was to some extent submerged around 90 yards off the shoreline.
Virginia State police spokesperson said that Edward Toth a 46-year-old man was piloting the two seater home made ultra light aircraft with his daughter on-board, investigators said Toth was trying to clear the tree line when it caught up in some tree branches due to engine failure and took a nose dive into the Lake Anna from about 60ft in the air.
The 17-year-old daughter of Edward Toth was taken to Fredericksburg Hospital with minor injuries, whereas her father died at the spot.
According to a witness Nell West, the plane was coming straight towards him but the pilot of turned the plane at the right time and it took a nose dive in the water, authorities say the plane crashed due to an engine failure.
Edward Toth was the father of two daughters and a corporate pilot, he was a magnificent guy a neighbor who requested not to be named said, and its extremely depressing news to hear, he loved his plane.
