The 30 year old Michael Kirkham was a newcomer to the profession of mixed martial arts and the first fight of his career proved deadly for him.
According to the reports, Michael Kirkham stepped into the ring for his debut fight in South California, which proved deadly for him, he was beaten severely by the opponent with several blows to his head.
Michael Kirkham was taken to the Regional Medical centre immediately, where he was pronounced dead due to brain hemorrhage. It has been reported that he was not in his senses when he was transported to the hospital. He was pronounced dead early this morning.
Michael Kirkham has recently joined the MMA fighting events and fought more than five times as an amateur. He was a good strong person having height of nearly 7 feet. He was nicknamed “Tree” due to his height.
According to the reports, after reaching hospital, he was immediately put on the ventilator and medical staff did their best to save him but they were unable to succeed due to excessive bleeding in brain.
The event management of the MMA fighting’s has also condoled to the family of Michael Kirkham and stated that their prayers and thoughts are with the family of the deceased but they have nothing else to say.
Michael Kirkham wasn’t the first fighter who died in the beginning of his career. Sam Vasquez was the other fighter who died in Houston back in 2007, he remained in coma for 42 days and then lost the fight of his life.
