Microsoft is going to scrap its smart phone that, I guess, wasn’t smart enough to please the ‘kool yoofs’ of America.
According to the latest updates, Microsoft Kin, a range of specially designed mobile phones for socially net-worked teenagers, has been killed by the company just after six weeks of its release.
It has also been reported that Microsoft has cancelled the European launch of Microsoft Kin after suffering huge losses from US launch.
Microsoft Kin range includes two handsets, the Kin One and the Kin Two, both of which are presently available on the Verizon network in US but are also unfortunately unable to find any interested customer.
Initially the company was expecting the phones to receive a huge and warm welcome but unfortunately things came out entirely differently for Microsoft Kin.
The decision to stop selling Microsoft Kin came right after the users started to through of these mobile phones over-hyped and under-featured products.
Microsoft, who had been working on the phone that was also termed as ‘Project Pink’ for a rather long time, is very tense with the complete failure of millions of Microsoft Kin handsets that were in development or in markets.
According to the sources, the new handset of Microsoft kin will not be produced and those which are in under development will be discarded as Microsoft has already suffered a massive loss and is no longer in a state of bearing any further losses just because of an own made piece of crap!
