Miss Michigan has been crowned Miss America and now she will be representing United States of America in Miss Universe contest. Rima Fakih, a Muslim woman from Michigan won the contest of Miss America and the contest really showed that the parameters are purely based on merit without any discrimination.

Rima Fakih, Miss Michigan was born in Lebanon and she grew up in Queens. She moved with her family to Michigan in 2003 and showed her talent all around.
She won the title of Miss Michigan last year and she was a potential candidate to Miss America after becoming Miss Michigan and she ended up as a winner.
