Nicole John, the daughter of U.S ambassador to Thailand died after falling from a 22 storey building on early Friday morning.
According to reports, 17 year old Nicole John stepped out on to the window ledge of the high rise building in Midtown, Manhattan possibly to take a photograph.
The reports further suggest that Nicole John was at a party at Herald Towers on West 34th Street. Apparently Nicole John took her shoes off and climbed through a window on the window ledge at the 25th-floor apartment at about 4:15 am.
The people across the street witnessed the falling of Nicole John and called 911 while people at the party realized that Nicole John who was sitting on the window sill was missing and fearing her fall, they contacted the building workers who found her body at the landing of a third floor outcropping.
A small camera near to Nicole John’s dead body suggested the unfortunate girl was perhaps taking photos from the ledge.
Nicole John was going to start her freshman year at Parsons, the new school of Design. Nicole John was the daughter of Eric John, the U.S ambassador to Thailand since 2007. Nicole John had graduated from Bangkok and she was living in an apartment on East 15th Street.
The reports say that Nicole John and some of her friends had been partying at Tenjune until about 2:15 am and then they left and gathered at the Herald Towers apartment that was rented by Ilan Nassimi.
The witnesses have speculated that Nicole John was intoxicated and when police arrived at Nassimi’s apartment it seemed that it was cleaned up freshly.
Nassimi is charged with giving a minor alcohol to drink.
U.S State Department has issued a statement saying that their thoughts and prayers are with John family in difficult times.
