Osama Bin Laden 300x194 The death of Osama Bin Laden might have left many in a state of shock but his first mother in law did not survive the news of his son in law and according to a London based Arabic newspaper, his mother in law died of a stroke when she heard the news of Osama Bin Laden’s death.

According to the reports, Nabih al-Ghanem, the mother of Osama Bin Laden’s first wife Najwa, suffered a stroke when she heard about the death of her son in law and she was rushed to Latakia in northern Syria but she did not survive.

It said the woman in her 70s “could not bear the bad news and lost consciousness” after US President Barack Obama announced Osama Bin Laden’s killing by US Navy SEALs during a raid in Pakistan on Monday morning.

Nabih al-Ghanem married her daughter Najwa with her cousin when Osama was just 17. The couple had 11 children together and Najwa left Afghanistan few days before the famous 9/11 attacks and lives in Syria now.

There was news that in last January one of Al-Qaeda leader’s sons was allowed to leave Iran to take care of his mother in Syria.

Osama remarried in 1983 and her second wife bore him three children.

According to details, Osama’s three wives were living with him at his Abbottabad compound and one of his wives Yemeni Amal Ahmed Abdulfattah was injured during the raid and she is in Pakistan’s security forces custody.
