Widely-known and much famed rock guitarist, Slash, has reportedly decided to end his relation with his wife of almost nine years, Perla Ferrar.
According to TMZ, on calling it quits with his wife Perla Ferrar, the 45-year-old legendary Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver guitarist filed for divorce yesterday on Monday 30th August, 2010 in LA County Superior Court.
Slash citied ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the root cause of his separation with Perla Ferrar. 15th July, 2010 has been distinguished as the date of separation in divorce papers. Slash married Perla Ferrar nine years ago in October, 2001.
Although a spokesperson to the iconic guitarist has confirmed the news to CNN, the musician himself is not willing to pass any comments regarding his separation with Perla Ferrar at this time. His representative told “I can confirm the divorce papers were filed and from Slash’s point of view the split is good-natured”.
Together, Slash and Perla Ferrar have two sons under the age of 8 named Cash and London and Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, reportedly wants a ‘joint physical and legal custody’ upon both of his children.
Although Slash made many life changes during the 9-year-marriage time, including dropping drugs and alcohol, however, through all this time-span Perla Ferrar seemed to have a good impact on his hubby.
Slash said “I quit doing drugs. But because I’m a habitual kind of guy, if I quit doing drugs, then I drink. And then if I quit drinking, I do drugs – forever”.
And probably that is why the couple has called it quits!
