On the eve of Tuesday 17th August, 2010 Peter Anthony Cantu, 35, was executed by lethal injection at around 6:20 pm on the counts of gang-rape and murders.
In 1993, a gang of six members shocked Houston to its core with the sickening nature of crime when they raped, murdered and then brutally beat 16-year-old Elizabeth Pena and 14-year-old Jennifer Ertman beyond recognition.
Peter Cantu, who used to blow his own horn to family and friends about being involved in that very gang-rape cum murder case, was the leader of gang at that time.
Prior the execution, Peter Cantu was served with fajitas, enchiladas and a cinnamon bun for his final mean.
Then at around 6:17 pm the State of Texas started to kill Peter Cantu with lethal injection drugs. Peter Cantu breathed for the final time at 6:17 and peacefully died.
According to jail officials, almost 8 minutes after the lethal drug had been injected in Peter Cantu’s body, he was dead. The brutal killer gave no final statement and showed no regret on his wrong doings prior being executed.
As per the comments distributed by the two victim girls’ families on the execution of peter Cantu, it’s a too good end for the man who brought a cruel and terrifying end to the lives of poor Jennifer and Elizabeth.
Adolfo Pena, the father of Elizabeth, said “put it this way, I wish my daughter could have died the way he died today. Wasn’t no pain. These girls went through an awful lot of pain when they died”.
