The ‘Cake Boss’ star, Remy Gonzalez, has been arrested for allegedly sexually stabbing a minor and is being held on $300,000 bail.
According to sources, Remy Gonzalez, who played a key role on the TLC reality show as brother-in-law to Cake Boss’s lead star called Buddy Valastro, was charged with aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual assault.
At present, no details of the exact nature of the charges are available, however one thing is confirmed i.e. Remy Gonzalez hasn’t been competent to pay his bond amount and that’s why he is currently serving behind the bars in Morris County Jail where he’s been since 18th August, 2010.
The identity of the assaulted child has not been revealed by the police.
A TLC spokesperson conveyed in a statement “we support Buddy and the Valastro family during this very difficult and challenging time. The network respects the family’s wish for as much privacy as possible, and as this doesn’t involve us, we will not be commenting any further about it”.
The police officials further revealed that the next hearing of Remy Gonzalez’s case is said to be held on 7th September, 2010 and for the time being no comments have been observed from Lisa Valastro concerning the arrest of her husband Remy Gonzalez.
Remy Gonzalez, who is Buddy Valastro’s left-hand man and the best and fastest decorator on the show as well, is married to Buddy’s youngest sister, Lisa Gonzalez. She works the front
counter.
