Ending the much famed and talented cornerback’s unpleasant holdout just a week before the team’s season opener, The New York Jets have reportedly agreed to ink a new deal with Darrelle Revis.
According to the latest updates, the New York Jets announced Monday morning that they have agreed to terms with the famous All-Pro CB, Darrelle Revis, who reportedly is plenty pleased with this new deal.
Earlier today on Monday 6th September, 2010 Revis posted a couple of messages on his official Twitter account, where he expressed his great lament for his much-publicized holdout that has been a subject of fascination among all his Jets fans over the last complete month.
Revis tweeted “I just want to tell y’all that I’m sorry for this process and I can’t wait to get back on the field”.
General Manager of NY Jets, Mike Tannenbaum, said during a conference call earlier on today “barring something unforeseen, we expect Revis to be here on Monday. I think that this is an important step in the process, but there was still obviously more work to be done”.
Making a rather correct move, the Jets, who has begun their regular season week from today, has announced to acquire Revis, however it is still not clear whether Revis would be ready for that game or not?
Revis, the 25-year-old All-Pro star cornerback, was slated to make $1 million this season i.e. the fourth year in his six-year contract that he signed as a rookie and has excelled.
