22-year old – Scotty Lago, an American snowboarder has earned the bronze medal in the half pipe on Wednesday game. His performance in this game was wonderful and he scored 42.8 points out of total 50 points. This was the best score during his career and he got the honor of being an Olympic medalist 2010.
Scotty Lago, started his career fourteen years ago in 1996 at the age of 8 and he was also honored with a “30 Under 30 Awards” in 2007. He is well-known for winning the championship of world’s quarter pipe.
Now he got a bronze medal and in the qualifying round he was at 9th place out of 40 contestants and now in semi final, he stood six among the top snowboarders. In the winter Olympics games 2010, he is representing United States with his two team members Shaun and Louie Vito
Another American snowboarder and Lago’s team-member Shaun White scored 48.4 points and won a gold medal for his outstanding performance. Finland snowboarder and Peetu Piiroinen earned a silver medal and his score was 45.0.
He earned this bronze medal by defeating Iouri Podladtchikov of Switzerland who placed fourth and his score was 42.4. This bronze medal by Scotty Lago will be a worthy addition to several medals that has gone to U.S. for the half pipe in last three years in Olympic Games. United States half pipe team, including women has gained 12 of the 21 medals since 1998.
Scotty Lago performance was admirable and it is being expected that he will show more proficiency in the future.
