Simon Cowell is planning on to start a feud between Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos in an attempt to spice up the show.
According to reports Cowell wants Kelly and Tulisa to be on screen rivals just as Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue were.
According to a source, “Simon loved the stories about how Cheryl and Dannii didn’t get on. He thought it added to the spark of the show,”
“He thinks Kelly and Tulisa are great but they’re too friendly and he wants a bit of tension between them.”
The insider also revealed that Cowell has been trying to create a rift between the two by sending them text messages.
“He keeps texting Kelly and Tulisa separately and reminding them that they’d better win and that they have to be successful.”
“He’s creating an atmosphere of competition between them but he keeps saying it’ll make for better live finals. He’s determined to end the niceness between them before those shows start.” The source added.
Moreover, Louis Walsh also said that the two ladies will eventually fall out. “There was always rivalry between Cheryl and Dannii. It wasn’t a bad thing, but I think Kelly and Tulisa get on better.”
“They’re going to fall out, though, especially about the music. Kelly doesn’t understand how things work in England. She has to realize it’s not all about the singing – likeability is number one. She’s not used to being criticised either.” He added.
