Last night on Wednesday 28th July, 2010 a very sad incident, like something out of a nightmare, happened at Soda Butte Campground when a dreadful bear attacked the campers and killed a man and left two wounded. The bear not only harmed campers but also ripped apart many belongings of the campers.

Reports say, a huge black bear went wild through the heavily taken campground near Yellowstone National Park last night, killing at least one person and injuring two others during a horrifying beast attack that forced people to hide in their cars as the wild animal tore through their tents at Soda Butte Campground.

The two injured persons were admitted to a local hospital right after they suffered fatal injuries at Soda Butte Campground, as per the latest updates both injured people will survive their injuries.

Wild life authorities told “three separate attacks left a male dead and a lady and another male injured at the Soda Butte campground. The surviving lady suffered crushed bones from bites on her arms and severe lacerations and the male was bitten on his calf”.

The names and ages of the Soda Butte Campground victims have not been revealed so far by Wildlife officials.

Don and Paige Wilhelm, two campers of Aledo, Texas who were present there to spend the night in the campsite next to the woman who got injured during the Soda Butte Campground attack, said “We heard a scream, but we weren’t sure what it was. We thought maybe teenagers yelling”.

The Soda Butte Campground, a campsite which is run by the US Forest Service, has now been closed along with two other nearby campgrounds.
