The 30th Wilson County Fair is going to open on Friday august, 21, 2009 .The inspectors of Tennessee Department of Health will be there for the security of riders and viewers. A large number of visitors will enjoy the fair as well as the great weather.
This fair was held first time in the Lebanon in 1853. The location of Lebanon Senior Citizens Center and Jimmy Floyd Center and was the first locality of the Wilson County Fair. This is the most famous fair in the State. The programs in the fair like a traditional tractor pull, numerous cattle competitions and lineups of the amazing local products still seize the attention of the visitors. A live musical concert is also arranged.
Special events in the fair would be the animal show, the bicycle ride, century farm, channel 4 weather, read and win, kids events and many more, so the fair will definitely capture the attraction of the people of all ages.
Reportedly, last year this fair has seen the highest number of visitors of approximately 466,000 people and this year is expecting more. The fair will end on august 29 and the theme of this 9 day fair for this year is “30 Years of Volunteers” declared by the sponsor of the Wilson County fair.
